Suresh Raina- The Legend in the Making! Achievements!

I tried Google, but could not find an amazing cricketer like him in this world! I tried Yahoo, but could not find a nice human like him in this universe. He is the Lion in the field. There will be whistles when he comes on the stadium. He is like a tornado on the field and his opponent will be scared to face him. The world is proud to have him and he is the asset for his team. He scores when his team needs him and he encourages everyone and he is the man with no ego! Well of course, it is our SURESH RAINA! The Man who born to win! The young and the most aggressive player of Indian cricket team. Suresh Raina is an attacking left-handed batsman and a renowned fielder, who is known for his ability, to hit the stumps from the infield. He is also an occasional spinner. Suresh Raina is the man who have achieved so many things in this young age, let’s take a look at that amazing person’s achievements. Raina played his cricket very well, that he soon became the captain of the Uttar Pradesh U-16. In 2002, Raina was selected at the age of 15 and half years for the U-19 tour to England. Raina remained to shine in those matches by scoring a pair of half centuries, in U-19 test matches. In the same year Raina also traveled to Sri Lanka with the U-17 team.

Suresh Raina made his first Ranji Trophy debut for Uttar Pradesh, against Assam, in February 2003. He also played for the U-19 Asian ODI Championship match, in Pakistan, in 2003. Raina was selected for the 2004 U-19 World Cup, after the Pakistan tour. He scored three half centuries, including a 90 scored off only 38 balls. Raina was also awarded a Border Gavaskar scholarship, to train at the Australian Cricket Academy.

In 2005, Raina made his first class limited overs debut, and he scored 645 runs in that season, at an average of 53.75. Raina also participated in the Challenger Series, in early 2005. Raina earned his first Man-of-the-Match award in ODI, for scoring an unbeaten 81* in a successful run-chase, at Faridabad. He then scored two more half centuries.  In 2008, after a strong IPL session, Raina was back into the XI for a Triangle ODI tournament in Bangladesh. On 25th of June 2008, Raina scored his maiden 100, against Hong Kong during 2008 Asia Cup. His hundred in just 66 balls, was at that time, the second fastest century in Indian ODI history. He also scored 84 of 69 against Pakistan and 116 of 107 against Bangladesh in next two matches and also won Man-of-the-Match award successively three times.
